Nemu Nemu moves slowly in a straight line until it collides with a block, bomb, or other enemy, at which point it falls asleep for a very long time. When it finally wakes up, or when it is hit by an explosion, it will choose a random direction and continue to move. It may choose to reverse directions even if it is not at a dead end. It will harm the player on collision, and requires 2 hits to defeat.
In Super Bomberman 5, Nemu Nemu does not pause when colliding with obstacles, and instead will fall asleep at random. The duration of time that it spends sleeping is considerably shorter than it was in the previous game.
In Super Bomberman 2, Nemu Nemu snores 10 times before it wakes up. In Super Bomberman 5, it snores 4 times.
- The name "Nemu Nemu" comes from the Japanese word "nemui", which means "sleepy".
