Kinkaru is an enemy that first appeared in Super Bomberman.

Kinkaru moves at a speed of 3, passing through Soft Blocks and changing directions at intersections. It seems to form a different path of movement based on the player's position on the map, displaying a habit of approaching the player, though this behavior is undocumented.

In Super Bomberman 5, Kinkaru is slower, does not respond to the players' locations, cannot phase through soft blocks, and only changes direction upon collision with bombs and walls.

  • The name "Kinkaru" comes from the Japanese word "kinka", meaning "gold coin".
