Custom Parts are hidden items that can be used to create a custom Bomberman in battle mode. They appear in the games Bomberman 64, Bomberman 64: The Second Attack and Bomberman Live. There are four types of items that can be found that include the head, body, arms, and legs. Most of the items create silly costumes that add an extra element of creativity to the Bomberman games.
Bomberman 64[]
In Bomberman 64, they can be found in the levels, and are used to customize Bomberman strictly for the Battle Mode. They are a total of 40 Custom Parts, 4 of them are already available by default (the Knight Set) while the 36 others need to be collected in the levels in Story Mode. In Hard Mode, some of these parts have their locations rearranged.
Before being usable, the parts need first to be set in the Custom Menu and the data saved into the cartridge and then exported to a Controller Pak. Each of the 4 players in Battle Mode can have their own individual customizations, provided they have a Controller Pak connected to their controller with a Custom Data saved inside.
Notes[]
Much like the Gold Cards items, the Custom Parts found in the level disappear over the time if not picked up, and also move away (so they could fall in water or hole), if that happens, then the player needs to exit the stage and retry it again.
Trivia[]
- In Bomberman 64, if a Bomberman wins a round in a battle game while wearing a custom part, they will say "Yay!" at the screen.
